Discusses receiving the addressee's telegram; the addressee's request for preparation of ‘Izzat al-Saltanah's trip, ‘Izzat al-Saltanah and Muzaffar al-Din Shah's disagreement on this trip; the writer recommends the addressee to be patient and delay the trip for two or three months; sending off the addressee's message to Mukhbir al-Dawlah; receiving ‘Ala’ al-Dawlah's letter and sending it to the addressee; Bihjat al-Saltanah's arrival; asks the addressee for a reply.

Telegram from ʻIzzat al-Saltanah to Hakim al-Mamalik, 1900
ʻIzzat al-Saltanah writes about the hot weather in ʻAtabat, her heat intolerance causing her more panic attacks, her children not being well and their longing for their father, the difficulty of being far apart from her husband for the past three years, and her financial problems. She asks Hakim al-Mamalik, the Minister of the Court, to mention her situation to Muzaffar al-Din Shah and get his permission for her to go to Damascus with her children and husband during the summer.

The letter concerns a meeting with Anis al-Dawlah, favorite wife of the harem of Nasir al-Din Shah, in which she is asked to deliver a petition from Firuz Mirza Nusrat al-Dawlah, son of ʻAbd al-Husayn Mirza Farmanfarma and ‘Izzat al-Dawlah, to her husband and the Crown Prince.

Muhammad ‘Ali Nizam Mafi (Salar Mu‘azzam) writes to his father, Riza Quli Khan Nizam Mafi (Nizam al-Saltanah and reports the death of Muzaffar al-Din Shah four days earlier (there were two days of morning ceremonies and the cornoation occurred on the day this letter was written), saying that his corpse is at Takiyah Dawlat and despite his own wish to be buried in Karbala’, clerics disagree.
